I just couldn't keep up with them. Middletown High School juniors and seniors spent all last night and early this morning on a last-fling, dressed up, hopping Prom Jubilee. But somewhere on their police-escorted motorcade to LeSourdsville Lake I fell sleepily behind. The kids didn’t get home until sometime after 7 a.m. Journal photographer Bill Weith didn't return to the office until that time either. But at 3 a.m. some little thing inside my head told me that any further tagging along would net one aching head and no impressions, and I trudged wearily home. The full story won't be lost, however, for some hazy memories of a tireless bunch remain in my tired mind, and a wilted Bill Weith had enough strength this morning to whisper his mental notes...
