Battlefield Successes Cause Loyalists to Lose Interest in Negotiations With Biafra - The federal military government of Nigeria, in no mood to talk about compromise and negotiations in the Nigerian civil war, has just about scuttled the peace mission of the Organization of African Unity. Convinced that a resounding military victory will soon be theirs, the federal leaders believe it is pointless to risk losing any of that victory at a conference table. That is why the federal government has twice forced the postponement of the visit of the mission and why it has sent Chief Anthony Enaharo on a tour of African countries to explain the federal case. Enaharo, the civilian commissioner of information in his government, visited Ghana, Ethiopia, Kenya and Tanzania last week. The probable brunt of his argument is that the federal government will defeat secessionist Biafra soon with a minimum of bloodshed and that the disaffected Ibo tribesmen of Biafra can be brought back into Nigerian life in just a few years...
